Jim, anyway you are able to confirm if it's region free or not when you get it? Or do you only have a region A player? It's released by Warner, so I'm hoping it's region free. I do wish Movietyme would update their lists straight away and actually have it next to the film title. You think they'd want to, as surely it'd make them more money

Yep, no problem. TBH, i'd be very surprised if it didn't work with it being a Warner title....but still, you never know. Anyway, as soon as it comes through i'll give it a spin in my UK PS3 and report back.

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

Got it through today and it does indeed play perfectly on the UK PS3!

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

My mate has just rang me to say "have you heard of the fountain? As it's amazing!"

I try and save money, but my mate's just don't help

Jim, if you can give us a heads up on video/audio after watching it, it would be appreciated

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

Just watched it and...wow.

PQ and sound superb. It's a bit of a mind-xxxx and not sure if I completely grasped the whole story or understood the resolution at the end, but was a hell of a journey.

Well worth the purchase.

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

This film got some very mixed reviews, came across as a love-it or hate-it type film.
I like the director's previous films and his taste in women, so I was happy to give it a spin.

I did like it a lot, but am not sure if it will get better or worse with repeat viewings.

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

The UK version of this Blu-Ray will not work on a US PS3.

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

Was a good film, got a bit odd at the end (although story was a bit out there to begin with).

Re: The Fountain comes to USA Blu-ray this May

Would anyone like to trade the UK version of the Fountain for the US version. I have a US PS3 and the UK version doesn't work, it's region coded. Sorry Mods if this is the wrong place for this, if so could you navigate to the right place. The Blu-Ray is brand new.

Many Thanks

Owen
