Ahaaaa, I just had to answer this post

I've got quite a few also in my 1st choice list. Firstly, forget about list 1,2 & 3 as 85% of the time I get the blooming foreign movies the misses has highlighted (which I moved to choice 3 lol).

The only HD DVD I have received from them was the "fish in a fish tank" filmed with an HD camera sitting infront of the tank

Just sent one back so maybe....just maybe I'll get one soon Hope you do too soon.

They now have 32 titles to pick from, as jim Royle would say "MY ARSE"

Re: HD rental at Tesco

Been with them about 2 weeks and had 2 HD-DVD's and 1 SD. Discs turned up quickly as stated, no problems whatsover.

I was concerned about the amount of HD DVD's available and the fact no new ones seemed to be added to the list, so I E-mailed them. There reply was they intended to stock more very shortly!

Whether they do or not is another matter

Re: HD rental at Tesco

I had 3 HD movies in my first week or two as a member. Since then nothing. To be honest I only seem to get the less popular films on my list (eg Hard Candy) even though they are 2 & 3's.
I'd go back to Amazon like a shot if they start doing HD's for rental, but as of yesterday they are still purchase only.

I'm betting they only have 1 or 2 copies of each hi-def film.

Probably because I did not enter that as one of my selections I've recently watched it on SD-DVD. I've selected about 15 of the available titles. I wonder how many copies of each title they have? A lot I hope or we'll be waiting awhile

Re: HD rental at Tesco

Ok, since complaining about not receiving any HD's I returned from holiday to find 3 sitting on the doormat. Hopefully the supply is increasing - I noticed they've added a couple of new films - looking forward to the Deer Hunter.

Re: HD rental at Tesco

Yea

Just checked my allocation and I've got Batman Begins and Firewall all on HD-DVD on their way . And I've just received my Canere LV-61 analogue cables, to hook up my amp for TrueHD sound!

Its all good all for free!(not the cables cost me £40)
