Blu-Ray and movie regions

I was going to get a Toshiba XE1 HD-DVD player as the HD-DVD movies are region free. However with the various delays with that machine and current availability the PS3 is now only a few weeks away so i am tempted to use the funds for a PS3 instead. Looking at Play though the UK list for BD movies is fairly depressing where as Movietyme have far more but are US movies.

Therefore does anyone know what of the current US/International BD movie releases are regiong free and should therefore play on a UK PS3?

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Blu-Ray and movie regions

I think most are region free. Fox/ Diseny titles are region coded though

Re: Blu-Ray and movie regions

As a general rule of thumb,

All US Fox titles are Region A - so wont work on a UK PS3
Warner and Paramount have no region coding
Sony tend to leave back catalogue titles without region coding and new release they region code
Buena Vista are similar (there doesnt appear to be much method to their madness)
Lionsgate tend not to region code, but I believe a few of their releases have it.

This site does a decent job of tracking the region freeness of titles, http://bluray.lindsite.dk/
