Why on earth was the uk version of Miami Vice robbed of all the extras?

Theres no commentary no production stuff nothing, the us version was lauded for its extras, god dammit.

I believe the commentary is missing because it was recorded for the Directors cut, which I dont think is the version released here.

I may be wrong but I think the UK version loses out on stuff as it has to fit on all of the European soundtracks (French, German, Spanish etc) which the US release doesn't have to do.

according to amazon it has all the same extras but just not the commentary as has been said, the US version was the directors cut while the UK one isn't.

The US one is U-control too but i'm not sur eif the uk one is?
