Unleashed HD-DVD in UK

Hello,

This is my first post so please go easy on me!

I am trying to find Unleashed on HD-DVD for the UK. So far the only thing I can turn up is: http://dvdworldusa.com/shopexd.asp?id=47663

I beleive this is the US R-Rated version on HD-DVD Combo disk and it seems to say its Region 1. However, I beleive I read somewhere that most disks are Region Free.

Has anyone had any luck with Unleashed HD-DVD on their Xbox 360 HD DVD Addon Drive on a UK Xbox 360? Anyone know where I can find the Unrated version or a version that will definatly work on a UK Xbox 360 (Region 2?)?

(Note: Drive was Imported from the US, but I beleive the Drive Region is set via your Xbox 360).

All hd-dvd's are region free (at the minute) so even though they are sometimes said to be region 1 they are all region free. So you are ok to go and buy your Unleashed dvd.

Hi there

All HD DVD's are region free and will play in ANY HD DVD player. The R1 refers to the DVD side. Unleashed is a combo disc which means that on one side you'll have the HD DVD version on the movie (which is region free) and on the flip side you'll have the DVD version which will play in a Region 1 DVD player.

So you can safely buy the movie and watch the HD DVD side on your 360 add-on!

Their price is £16.30 (dvdpacific) and £16.27 (Amazon) , how is that cheaper?????

Actually it's as cheap as £14.78 on DVD Pacific. Using their cheapest shipping option, which usually comes in about 10 days. And if the currency convertor is right its £14.65 from Amazon.

That's the main advantage of DVD Pacific for me; the cheap shipping. With their non-combo discs being priced at just over £10, the total price incl. P&P comes in at less than £12; cheaper than the Amazon.co.uk Market sellers.
Amazon.com's shipping is nearly double at $7 (for the cheapest shipping option).

For faster shipping of US discs Movietyme would seem to be the online retailer to use.

If their franking system is the same as our then according to the jiffy bags I got from DVD Pacific, it only costs them 21 cents to post to us, which sounds very cheap.

Just so everyone knows...........

When you see a low amount on US Mail, that is a per piece price. They then pay a price for the weight of the item. This is normal standard BULK shipping from the USA, you cannot send a DVD for 21 cents.

This type of shipping is very prone to delays, loss and theft, we have stopped using it for those reasons.
