Anybody else had HD movies from Love Film?

Just been notified that Serenity HD will be winging its way over.

Looks like its time to get an HD player at last . I'm not into collecting movies much and have been waiting for the rental companies to catch up.

Anybody on here had many HD movies from Love Film then? And how long have you had to wait for titles to come through. Serenity has been on order for over a month now... but I'm not sure how long the service has been up and running for the HD movies - as last time I emailed Love Film they said they were still in the process of setting up the HD side of things.

Aaah so you're the bugger thats stopping me getting Serenity on HD. It's been in my list for ages.

I have had a few so far. King Kong, Batman Begins and the awful The Fast and Furious, Tokyo Drift. I don't think they have more than one copy of each though as I have been waiting ages for some of them and there can't be that many HD-DVD owners on Lovefilm.

Re: Anybody else had HD movies from Love Film?

I joined Lovefilm 22/1/07, just over 2 weeks ago. I've had 9 discs since then. 5 of these discs were HD-DVD discs. They have all played with no problems. I've just checked online and the 10th disc was posted yesterday so should be with me today when I get home.

I'm very happy so far.

Ofcourse all this could be because I am a new customer?

How do you find the HD stuff at Lovefilm?

I've been with them for a coupke of years and hopefully will shortly be getting the HD DVD add on for my 360. Just had a look on their site to queue up some HD stuff, but couldn't see anywhere obvious they might be.

LOL, enjoy the party whilst it lasts, they always prioritise new customers, they are really quick at first and you are never short a disc, give it a few months and you will be annoyed at how long they take to send out discs.

I have been a member for a couple of years and i have had a few HD-DVD's now, probably 3, serenity, kisskiss bangbang and something else, both terrible movies IMO.

I've found them mostly excellent, to be honest. Every so often, they'll go through a period of taking an extra day to send out my next disk, but I have to say mostly it's a 3 day turnround for me. Post disk back Monday, they send new one out Tues which I receive Weds.

Agree about Kiss Kiss, absolute rubbish IMO. Loved Serenity though. Had you watched the Firefly series before you watched it though?

Couldn't agree more. There's a reason why the critics were so enthusiastic about it and why it won an award from Empire.

Loved Kiss kiss, bang bang....I found it original and clever. Can see why it might not be everyone's cup o' tea though.
