Where to buy HD DVD for 360 player?

Does anybody have any advice about where I can buy HD DVD's for the 360?

At the moment the £ is really strong against the the $ which means it's cheaper to import games now than ever before and as HD DVD's are region free I assume it will be no problem to import them from overseas and get them to work?

Which websites are reliable and cheapest to order from?

With Amazon though, you may need to factor in the possibility of Customs charges, I would think.

Re: Where to buy HD DVD for 360 player?

my only experience so far is dvdpacific

i ordered some films the other week and made a mistake on my order, the guys there changed my order for me as i would have had to pay duty due to a mistake from myself.

constantine turned up this morning costing me £9.61 plus postage

grand total of £12.90

i have batman returns £10.02 and poiseden £10.02 plus postage on order
hopefully they will turn up next week

dvd pacific seems way cheaper to me, unless i am missing something??

Here's another vote for DVD Pacific. I've also found them to have the best prices.

Re: Where to buy HD DVD for 360 player?

MovieTyme may not be the absolute cheapest but they deliver FAST even with the free delivery option.

They have premises in the UK so if the title(s) you're after are in stock, you'll get it next day with free delivery...

e.g. I ordered WTC at noon on a Friday and it dropped throught the letterbox at 9am on Saturday. I used one of their money off vouchers too (£2). No customs worries either. Shame about the film though.

DVDWORLDUSA.com and DVDPacific.com are good too but delivery is slower.

Cheers

Re: Where to buy HD DVD for 360 player?

I think Amazon.com stop you from buying the HD-Drive as soon as you get to the shipping part. Problem with the UK address I think.

PS How quick is shipping with DVD Pacific?

Re: Where to buy HD DVD for 360 player?

When I've ordered stuff from DVD Pacific, if it's in stock, it should arrive on average 7-14 days from when you place the order.

I've had stuff quicker, 4 days was the quickest and stuff take longer, up to about 3 weeks.

They are NOT Customs friendly though, so make sure your order is under the limit, or you will get charged. The Customs charge I can live with, it's the extra £4 or something "handling charge" you get stung by Royal Mail for, that bothers me.

What's the most you can order without getting stung?
