Post Kung Fu Hustle comes to UK Blu-ray this March

Stephen Chow's biggest and boldest, but by far from his greatest, film sees him sing, dance and fight through 1940's gangster infested China

Another great Blu-Ray film. I liked the SD DVD so much, I even watched the making of the movie in Chinese with no subtitles.

The R2 sd has got one of the best pictures I have seen in any format, the clarity was unreal, so this High Def version is going to be unreal.

Let's hope it's uncut. Unlike the US version.

Would that be the outtakes on the R2 version? They are in Chinese. I wonder if they dubbed the cuts? Otherwise they can't use them. On the R2 version the outtakes are in Chinese.

Question Re: Kung Fu Hustle comes to UK Blu-ray this March

Read some reviews on this disc praising the video quality.

Watched it last night on Film4 and thought the movie itself was good, not great but the cinematography on several scenes was excellent and with a good transfer should look superb on BD.

Anyone on here watched it and would recommend it for the collection, purely based on the video quality?

Cheers.

Well I haven't watched all of the BluRay yet, but what I have seen still has those elements mentioned up to that point in the film intact. So I would hazard a guess that the BluRay version is not cut afterall.
