Thumbs up Luc Besson's Le Grand Bleu Re-Released Due To Cockup!

Hi,

Fantastic news from Optimum Home Releasing!

They recently released Luc Besson's superb underwater drama Le Grand Bleu (aka The Big Blue) in a digitally-remastered, 164-minute director's cut, French-language version with English-subtitles. However, to anyone who has seen and loved the film for many years, since its 1988 release, you will know that the film isn't and should not be viewed in French at all, as it is Besson's first English-language movie, with almost all of the cast recording the film in English.

Thankfully, after many complaints by fans, Optimum are now re-releasing the film, in its proper English-langauge format, as of this month.

The DVD version came-out (without notification) on 2nd November, but the Blu-Ray release is out on 16th November. Both will be in 16:9 anamorphic, in English, and with a digitally-remastered sound and picture!

If you buy the Blu-Ray release, you also get the option to watch the original Theatrical Version of the film, running to just shy of 2 hours. DVD purchasers, however, do not.

Bout time Optimum copped some flak, seems they do as they please and take our money.
Company that big should be able to be 1st and foremost, offer their customers quality with out any compromises..
