Battlestar Galactica Season 2 DVD brightness issue

I have bought each seperate DVD boxset when they first released but only unwrap and start watching the whole series in the last few weeks. When came to the last 2 discs of season 2 I found some episodes look wash out. Seems like the brightness control has turn itself up or wrong black level is set. Specifically episode 15, 17, 19 and 20. Anyone notice that? All other episodes looks fine with deep black. The whole season 3 looks perfect as well as the first season on HDDVD. I have yet to watch the last season. I wonder if the recent release of DVD and Bluray boxset has the problem fixed.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Season 2 DVD brightness issue

It is an old problem that never got sorted out. I have the R4 version which has the same problem. It is no surprise due to R2/R4 having the same discs. I only remember it being on the episode called Scar though.

If I hadn't just bought S3, I would have splashed out for the BD especially as it was just over £100 recently.
