That 70s Show complete series 1-8 box set in the UK?

If so where did you get it from? I've seen it advertised on a couple of websites but they don't look very legit...

I also originally saw images of this box:

But now I see this (which is what made me think these boxes might not be legit but just series 1-8 bunged in a "fan box"):

Hi PJ,

There has been no legit or official release of THAT 70'S SHOW, in a complete series boxed set, anywhere. Only individual seasons have been legitimately released.

Any sets that claim to be the complete series, are going to be of suspect origin, or the legit single seasons, in a home-made case of some kind.

If you want to keep an eye out, the best site to use, other than AVForums, is TV Shows On DVD.com.

You sure, I don't see Amazon selling a fake :P

I read about the announcement about a year back now but never once expected to see a UK release.

Evening,

Oops, sorry. I thought you were wanting a specifi UK region 2 release.

The Amazon.com version is legit, but the only thing I would say is that other than the price, and the packaging, there appears to be no real reason to get this over the individual season releases.

The box is okay, from looking at it, but nothing spectacular. Plus, the DVD's look like they are housed in those horrible 20th Century Fox "book-sleeves" like Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel used to come in, which means that many discs will arrive scratched to hell, because of their tight-fitting design, AND because the white protective cloth they used inside the sleeves, was too rough and scratched the discs, resulting in a lot of angry customers. Fox obviously hasn't learnt its lesson about these designs!

You may find it better to buy the Season by Season sets instead, as they can be found online quite cheaply, for about £12-£15 each, if you look hard enough around.

Thanks for your response

Unfortunately I'm a sucker for these outer boxes and I have a friend in the States that would possibly pick one up for me... I forgot about that contact

I think HMV have all the seasons for £12 except 8 @ 14 plus I'd get Quidco cashback) and I forget I actually already have the first season (it was bought for me)!

I have a slight Mila Kunis/Jackie obsession, at least in the later series'
