Question Improve quality of a video

I have old VHS recordings that where recorded in Long Play and the quality is rubbish now! i wash just wondering any way to improve it i do have copies on a pc in .VOB format

Thoughn I'm no expert, I doubt that there is anything that can improve the quality.
