Predator SE audio issue

Bought the 2-disc Special Edition DVD of Predator. It was only £3, and as it has a DTS track, was looking forward to it.

The audio was....disappointing. The DTS track seems very poorly mixed and appears to be more stereo than 5-channel (the DD track not being much better).

I've read some good reviews it (especially compared to the weak original DVD release). Is this a problem with the disc I've bought or something else? Has anyone else noticed any issues?

Re: Predator SE audio issue

hmmm...it could be because the movie is a little old (the 80's). BUT, I did notice a difference with my system when I would switch back and forth between DD and DTS. The DTS track did deliver more punch and louder high-end, but the speech didn't sound much different than in the DD track.
