Sky Captain & The World of tomorrow - HD-DVD

Simple question really guys...is it worth buying from a technical standpoint??

Bearing in mind I've never ever seen the film & I'm not expecting great things from the story but seeing as it's a big CGI/effects fest is it worth picking up in High def for a watch??

I can get it for sub £8 now so is worth the splurge or is the film so bad that no matter how pretty it looks it's still a huge waste of money???

Thanls in advance

Neil

I think it's mostly black and white, and, even in high definition, I think it's been said that it isn't that sharp/detailed. I think they purposely made it all quite soft focus, so a high definition disc won't give you that much more detail, as well as HD-DVDs not being made/supported any more.

Go for it! at 8 quid it's a nice treat to yourself and it deos look good on high def even though the the image is soft (as intended) it still looks better than the DVD.

Re: Sky Captain & The World of tomorrow - HD-DVD

Thanks for the input guys.

200p,

I know HD-DVD is dead which is a shame but as I have the HD-DVD add on for my 360 & movies are so cheap it seems rude not to buy them

Just popped my order in for a new copy £7.99 delivered

Thanks again for the help.

Neil
