Badman Teaser Trailer

Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Mods - feel free to move me on if you want!

For the past few months, a friend and I have been putting together a low budget feature length movie - a black comedy. We're 3 or 4 months away from completion but have prepared a teaser trailer which we've uploaded to various video hosting sites.

If you'd like to take a look, you'll find in on our project blog - both a high(ish) quality one hosted on MSN and a lower quality youtube one!

I'd love to read your thoughts on it!

Once we have all of the footage in the can (hopefully by the end of March), we'll be looking to put together a full trailer - maybe a couple of minutes long, so any thoughts you have on what makes a good movie trailer would be most welcome!

Sorry if this looks a bit like spam... it kind've is, but I am trying to initiate a legitimate discussion too!

Re: Badman Teaser Trailer

Well firstly use 3D models for the planets, those 2D ones are a bit dodgy. Even the solar flare is a bit dodgy. Then you need to throw a story at us, and not a sentence on its own. The voice is digitally altered, but doesn't work well. Was it Tennents Pilsner that said...

'This is too early, it's not ready yet!'

The seating distance thing is quite annoying. Yeah it looks great from 20ft away.. so does my ex!!!. Grain is the best way to see that you are getting a good HD image. Use it to callibrate your equipment...

Good work Darren!
As a film maker myself I think it's great to see people going out there and making something!
After reading your blog, it looks like you guys have lots of passion for making films.

Keep it up mate, I love the blog too!
