completely agree! - departed is very very weak IMO compared to the original

the ending on infernal affairs is great (so great in fact that chinese censorship board wanted it changed so another ending was created to satisfy their needs heeh- - Spoiler The chinese wanted punishment for the crimes committed in the film End Spoiler)

The ending of Departed seems to be a combo of the original infernal affairs ending and the altered censorship board ending.

Thats ok....there has to be a minority for everything, and so far we have you and SibTiger33.
It doesnt matter how many more people post in agreement with you both - you will all be in the minority, because the number of people that liked the film will greatly outnumber you.
I am certainly not meaning to sound arrogant by this...i am simply stating a fact.

That is the way the chinese do films.

spoiler
If someone commits a crime in a film, they have to be punished. That is why Bruce Lee gets killed at the end of his films. He attacks and kills people so he had to die at the end. It is just the strange way the Chinese make and view films. I believe it is different for the Korean and Japanese.
end of spoiler

Oh, and while The Departed was a good film, I agree Infernal Affairs was superior.

Re: Movies that have the worst climax... Please Hide Spoilers.

The Last Broadcast.

This eerie 'documentary' came out around the time of Blair Witch and shares some of it's themes. Ultimately it was the loser at the box office.

It's basically a complete reversal of Blair... which was 2 hours of unadulterated boredom rounded off with 5 minutes that scare the living wits out of you, whereas The Last Broadcast is thoroughly engrossing and very creepy for 2 hours and then spits in the viewers face in the last 30 seconds of the movie...

To find out why, go rent it. It's worth it for the two hours of quality, honest...

See I really enjoyed Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 and think they were just a good as each other. The only thing I didn't like was the beginning when she is talking to the camera, it is not the use of the camera work just what she speaks of, it just annoyed me so much, but the scene in the desert was the best use of enviroment I have ever witnessed, very few films can achieve that but it worked very well in my opinion and proves how good can Tarantino be when he puts his mind to it.

I mainly meant the actual last chapter of Kill Bill 2, I am quite happy with the rest of it.

I never had a problem with the ending to Vanilla sky.. all made perfect sense to me .. The only problem I did have with it is its oddly paced compared to the previous 120mins but the line about Kurt Russels daughters is a class moment
