28 days / weeks box set quality issues?

Bought the box set the other day, 28 weeks later was fine, OK quality - tonight I put on 28 days later to watch it again... and by golly it was full of grain, motion artifacts etc. Probably the worst quality DVD I have ever seen !

Has anyone else noticed the same problems? It was like watching a VCD with people's faces freezing, plastic foreheads etc..

Re: 28 days / weeks box set quality issues?

28 days later is the worst picture quality I have seen on DVD, it was shot in digital video not film. What amazes me is that it is to be released in HD

28 days was shot in digital video. So that may explain it - can't say I have had an issue but I don't have a big tv. FAB film!!!

Re: 28 days / weeks box set quality issues?

Haven't watched it for a couple of years but remember saying at the time it has one of the worst (grainiest) pictures so far released. Also remember being told at the time that it was shot that way and should look like that.
Not very good in my mind.
Having said all that really looking forward to seeing 28 weeks later - still in my to watch pile.
