What what Lucas on when he thaught it`d be a good idea to get 3PO`s head mixed up with a Soldier Droid`s?

Some may think it was funny and fair enough but for me it detracted from the battle and would make for a great "deleted" scene.

Sorry, but IMO the funniest lines in all 5 episodes are said by C3PO!

I agree with you blue-dusk, but my Mum laughed out loud. I guess it's to each their own.

C3PO is all about comic relief. He has been through all the Star Wars 'episodes'. Think being shot to pieces in Bespin and carried around on Chewbacca's back, think being smacked around by Jabba The Hutt, think being mistaken as some sort of God by the Ewoks, but it being against his programming to impersonate deities.

A Star Wars movie wouldn't be the same without a bit of unneccesary C3PO humour and R2 heroics.

The C3PO humour was a little forced, in the first 3 films it was subtle and natual, it rolled of the tongue, if C3PO had one.

I liked C3PO in Episode II - right up to his last two "funny" lines: "This is such a drag!" and "I'm beside myself". That was unforgiveably clumsy. Almost as bad as "Around the survivors a perimeter create!"
