As far as I'm concerned/aware - the answer is no. However, I'll bring it to a senior mods attention for verification.

Re: Downloading from torrent sites

If you're referring to piracy, I'd say no, but if you're talking about downloading non-copyrighted material and are just asking how to use the software, I can't see where the problem is myself.

Re: Downloading from torrent sites

I was gonna ask questions on downloading films off one , I and others in another thread have been talking about downloading 24 season 6 before its premiered in the states so i was wondering whats the difference unless were not allowed to talk about that either ?

i think you can discuss the programmes as no mods have queried current/previous discussions, just check the tv threads over 12 months, as many are watching shows yet not available in uk, but you are not permitted to discuss the mechanics of downloading. But wait for definate answer from Seth.

That's going be a definite no then, as you're contravening copyright.
The site can't be seen to condone it and in fact takes a strong anti-piracy stance.

Re: Downloading from torrent sites

Discussing it should be ok, aslong as we dont mention where to get the said materials from.

Re: Downloading from torrent sites

last time i remember this coming up it was a case of you can discuss the programs obviously, but you cant discuss where or how you got them....in other words no mentioning names of software used or sites with links etc....

I could be wrong or things mighta changed since then tho....was earlier last year i remember some discussion on it.....long time for me now....lol

Cool Re: Downloading from torrent sites

As far as I'm concerned the answer is no, the site does not condone piracy. And as far as I know torrent sites are sites for downloading programs/films illegally.
