The FP section was a real laugh. Everyone was shouting stuff like "turn left", "over there" "behind you!!!" "reload reload!!!"

As for a plot... well... it's a video game. Half-Life had an excellent plot, for a game, but I doubt to wold translate to screen that well.
Doom had (let's face it) no plot as a game so for the movie they just played the game while watching Aliens. A thus an action movie was born.
