Master & Commander

Is the region 1 copy much better than the R2 version? I want it to test out my sound system. Is R2 DTS aswell?

Check out http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparison...d=4820#overall who give it narrowly to R1.

Yes R2 is DTS.

Thanks Rayfin it seems he is not happy with the "not for rental" ad on the R2 copy however there seems to be no difference in the audio track, picture quality and features betwen them if I have read it correct

Well, I have the R2 2-disker and think the soundtrack is outstanding. I have not compared it to the R1 but I guarantee that you will be impressed with the ausio quality. It's one of my favourite test discs, especially the opening scene!

Cool

The openings surround is outstanding on RG2. I was even looking up as I though someone was coming through the celling.

Cool

I think I got mine in Music Zone round the £6-7 mark and it was the double disc edition.
I think it was going cheap in Sainsburys, but not to sure on that.

I got the single disc version. It has been on sale often for just £4.99. Both Play and Amazon have it for £5.99.
