True Lies has always been anamorphic on R2 and is still available.

R2 version of True Lies is cut....badly! I got the R4 version some time ago which has a fantastic anamorphic picture and is uncut. Got it from Ezydvd for less than £10 delivered. Try this link http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/223925

I never noticed any cuts from the laserdisc version I have which should be uncut afaik..

R2 cuts are listed here http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=1339. However, it looks like there may also be an uncut version available, but I'm not sure which one is now commonly available.
