Exclamation The Toughest Film Quiz Ever - It's Here!

Morning,

Well, after a lot of technical hassle, and a lot of computer pre-preparation, the Toughest Film Quiz Ever, is now going to go LIVE!

Right, here are the rules!

1) This is the film you need to view. (Big Thanks to Seth Gecko for kindly hosting the film for me, throughout the duration of this competition! ). This short film-work is copyright 2004 Cuechamp! It is NOT my work, or of anyone related to me. The film is equivalent to a "PG" rating in the UK. Please be aware of this, as I do not want to unintentionally offend anyone. (You will need Apple's QuickTime software to view the film, which can be downloaded free-of-charge from the Apple website! The film itself, is about 19mb, and lasts about 5 minutes in duration!)

2) IMPORTANT MEDICAL NOTE: Do NOT view this film if you suffer from epilepsy or any other form of illness, where strobe lighting and/or flashing images can harm you! If in doubt, please DO NOT view this film!

3) To enter the competition, all you have to do is view the film, and then send me a Private Message, telling me how many films are depicted! (Do NOT send me a list of every film title! However, if I think you've simply guessed or cheated, I may ask for proof of all of your answers! Please, therefore, be prepared to prove how you arrived at your answers.)
- Some films are shown more than once, under different titles. Count these as one, single film only!
- Some films will have multiple versions, by different directors, e.g. Dracula, for example. Count each "film version" separately, e.g. Dracula (1920) by Mr B Smith = one; Dracula (1948) by Mrs AV Forums = ONE, etc, etc.
- Some films are shown in director's cuts, special editions, etc. It doesn't matter if your list of answers, (prior to submission to me), for example, lists an answer as "Blade Runner" or "Blade Runner: Director's Cut". It simply counts as one film - "Blade Runner".
- Some films will have been deliberately obscured. This is to make you try harder!
- Some films shown in the film-clip, do not have the full title depicted. Use the IMDB website or your brain, to work out what that title should be. Use of the Internet Movie Database will not count as cheating!
- Some of the foreign titles, are shown only in a foreign language! If you can't work these out, try harder! However, some are really, really obscure! Look at dates, or the picture itself. They should give you clues!

Simply PM me with the number of films you think are listed. That's all! You don't need to include any personal info. As long as the message comes from a legitimate AV Forums account, then I will accept it as valid.

4) The prize is one genuine Criterion DVD! There is only one prize, I'm afraid, and that will go to the person who gets the most correct answers.

5) UK-based entrants only please.

6) You must be over 18 to enter! Sorry, folks!

7) One entry per AV Forum member only! Therefore, make your entry count! Anyone who tries to send me multiple answers, or attempts to cheat, will automatically be disqualified.

8) These rules can be modified, changed or amended at any time, so please bear this in mind, and double-check that you have adhered to them, before you PM me your entry! Entry to this competition, wil be deemed as complete acceptance of the rules!

Good Luck. Entries must be PM'd to me by Midday on the 25th July 2005!

Talking

Hi,

Ha, ha, ha! I did warn you all about a) the quiz being very, very tough, and b) about the strobe-lighting/flashing effects!

Come on people, lets see more of you taking part please! You need to show me just how much you know your films!

Keep the entries coming-in, and don't forget you've got just shy of a month. So take your time, and double or even triple-check your answers, before submitting your final answer to me. Don't forget - one entry per person only!

Good Luck!

P.S. Turn the sound off, when playing the video, as a) it's not needed, and b) won't help you!

Blimey, is this every film ever made?

Possibly a dumb question, but is it acceptable to just step through frame by frame? Or is that cheating? Impossible for me otherwise.

FruitBat, and everyone else,

How, and by what method, you arrive at your answer is entirely down to you!
