risking abuse here but I thought the film was overrated and an ego trip for an actor I can't stand, but am glad that they see fit to cater for the fans by releasing a disc set that is worth a re-issue for the masses.
I wish they would do the same with 'The Last of the Mohicans' which IMHO is long overdue an anamorphic release with plenty extras

I'll too stick with my original version (DTS and all), some of those deleted scenes (especially the 'Fed to the Lions' one) should have stayed deleted and looked really out of place within the context of the film.

Looks like another uneccassary 'Director's cut' from Ridley (Blade Runner being the other).

Kevo, your surrounded by the "Stupid Comment Police" come out with your hands up, step away from the can opener, the worms want to stay where they are - i repeat - do not open the can of worms, put the can opener down and lie face down on the floor........

Gary
When we tested the original release in the TAG McLaren Audio cinema, the DTS mix gave way better results for crowd scenes, more 'surround' than the DD mix. All the fight scenes were crisper and more defined too.

Great film, I bought the region one copy before the UK release, loved every minute.

i'll stand corrected then Although i love DTS i find that under normal conditions i cant hear the difference, its only when i crack it up that i hear all that dts goodness. i'm not saying its not better, just that at most "neighbour" friendly volumes its not as apparent.
