So I am wondering whether if it is a permanent item it might come down in price...

So should I rush out and buy it now or wait? What do you think?
All good things come to those who wait. So...

The thing is I could only justify putting in two of the films.

What could I do with the spare 4/5 slots ?

Guess THIS answers the DTS question.

However arises a new one, so where did you get it for £64.99??

I'm confused

They messed up the price when it first went on the web site and honoured the error. There was a thread about it in the Bargains forum.

I paid the £64.99 plus £1.40 postage, it's not a case of HMV trying to fleece people by charging more, rather they just screwed up what they put on the site. In fact even though it was listed as £74.99 (saved the rest by using the free voucher codes) when you put the item in your basket the price went to the correct charge of £99.99, HMV only had it down as £74.99 for a day so you had to act quick. When they adjusted the price displayed they also increased the postage, from £1.40 to about £3.50. So it now costs £103.50, although to use the £20 voucher you might still have to spend more because the over £100 spent rule might not include the postage.

I reckon it is still more than worth it for £100, I mean the Jap one is £299 at movietyme - sure it comes with the Kubrick but the discs are worse (yes, they are) and the Italian one that was kicking around a while back was £140.

By the way I have my Alien Xenomorph glaring at me from atop my subwoofer, would this affect the sound produced at all?. It doesn't appear to so far.

Hi Folks,

Some larger HMV stores in the UK have the Alien Head set in-stock as well! It's retailing at £99-99p! Yes, you're paying more, but at least you can be certain you'll get one!

Well I couldn't resist! Bought it using the £20 off voucher and am really pleased with it - considering the Japanese one was selling for £300 for the same thing it is a pretty good deal I reckon, even if it is a big lump of plastic!!

Not quite sure what you are saying here Pooch? All HMV stores have it on stock (regardless of size/location). As I said earlier it doesn't seem to be in any way in short supply at the moment. Also they all retail it for £99.99. Hope that helps.
