I sat in one for spiderman and really enjoyed it. I felt like I was going to be thrown out of the seat a few times. I don't know how the seats know when to tilt back, rumble etc. I thought it was quite clever although the seats were not as comfortable as the standard seats.
I will be sitting in the d-box seats again for batman.

Yes it's gimmicky. Have enjoyed it quite alot and do choose them if available at my local Milton Keynes Cineworld. Have seen The Avengers twice, TAS, and have 2 screenings of TDKR also.

There's a thread over on AVSforum specifically for D-Box owners. You can even retro fit the actuators onto your own seats by buying the platform model, but best results are from individual seating. D-Box codes are often found on Blu Ray disks.

For all D-Box enthusiasts !

Was going to this afternoon, but thy were all sold out

Was sat across the aisle from them and there was certainly plenty of moving about, especially in the fight scenes.
