I've used DVD Boxoffice for over 2 years now. But the service Has just got crappier & crappier. 3/4 weeks in most cases these days. Plus, you never know if an item is in stock or not. Also used Play247 for around a year or so. They're usually very quick, but in most cases (with some notable exceptions like T2-U, Toy Story boxset)they're quite a bit more expensive than Box Office.
But! I've just tried Absound. Only around 70 pence dearer than BO, but from my ordering to dropping on my door mat, took 8 days. Just like the Box Office of old!
I'll be using them & Play from now on.

I've predominantly used PLAY247 (over 50 discs) and have only once had a problem (the T2 UE debacle) but don't blame Play for that (Pooch i'm sure they asked for as many copies as possible because they knew how many pre-orders they had - their supplier was probably the problem.) I've recently tried Movietyme and future entertainment to see what they are like (no sign of the DVD's ordered yet.) I had MI2 on order with Play but cancelled it on Friday and switched to Future Ent (bad move possibly!) I'll probably stick with Play as long as they don't start charging £17.99 for most region1 (which seems to have started happening recently.)

Duncan,

I see it's alright for you to get discs early. I hope your emails about early selling being illegal will not make the rest of us suffer by getting our films late or not at all.

I was just stating what I have learned from MY experience, it does not bother me in the slightest and I kinda think that release dates ( uk ones ) are pointless.

Now that Sunday trading is as big as it is, why cant things be released then ?

I use PLAY247 and Movietyme, and haven't had any problems with either. Movietyme web site is a bit annoying though, but they do make courtesy calls when the film ships.

They don't send early, but they are reliable, fairly cheap, and I have no problems at all with them.

Cheers,

Tom...

Re: I would like EVERYONE who buys DVDs to answer this 1 simple question

I'm a cheapskate, so I buy from whoever is cheapest at the moment. Recently I've bought a few things from amazon.com marketplace sellers. Perhaps that's a bit more risky, but I've had no problems so far. Only annoyance was that the dollar plummeted just after I bought, so I wish I'd waited a bit.
