agree with everything above but also as everything is shipped from Denmark, Holland or Germany any delivery in the EU will NOT get hit for customs no matter how much it is. Axel is usually a couple of quid more expensive than other sites but you have to bear in mind the customs charges that you will get hit for with most other sites, so this nearly always comes out cheaper in the end.

another axelmusic question

... if I order a R2 DVD for UK delivery will it be the UK version? (i.e same catalogue no. with BBFC certificate etc on the sleeve, etc)
... or some standard European or Scandinavian version?

They have a flag system that tells you the country of origin. Is there a specific title you are looking at?

thanks - silly me, easy to spot really. Was a general question, but the other thread regarding the Revenge Of The Sith £9.99 pre-order offer initially drew my attention, and now I note that its only for the US R1 release; may still order it though.

Defently worth an order as Axel will probaley have stock of it 1 or 2 weeks before release so not only are you getting it for a great price but ahead of release

I've used this company twice and the deliveries have taken about a week each time.

I was about to post a question asking if you're likely to pay customs charges in the UK because I was thinking of buying the region 1 Battlestar Gallactica box-set.

Why not order from Movietyme? its £3 cheaper and they will probaley have it instock before Axel.

thanks but I had bad experiences using Movietyme but with the 10 per cent voucher from Axel (worth £3.06... surely it should be £3.10?) for pre-ordering it works out a few pennies cheaper at Axel Music . Plus there could be customs issues with Movietyme shipping from the states and even if they refund the customs charges it's all extra hassle.

Fair enough if you dont want to use Movietyme but you can pre-order the Battlestar Galactica Season 1 set from DVDImport for under £24 and I am told they mark down packages and include free delivery, defently thinking about ordering from them instead of Movietyme, just worried it may come with an English/French cover.
