Thumbs up Play

Placed an order For Tru Calling, Magnum P.I. Season 2 and a preorder on Sunday.

Tru Calling and Magnum P.I. were waiting for me when I got up today.

Brilliant service once more.

Yep, great service! Wish they were a bit more competitive on price though.

I actually received Constantine 2 days before the release date having pre-ordered, I have used them for years and will continue to do so! Good on you Play!

Have had 2 packages from them go missing over the last 3 years or so, both times they re-sent new ones without any quibbles.

Really good but mainly use cdwow for price reasons now, cdwows service so far has been great but I still use Play for the odd disc (mainly R2) that I cant find on cdwow.

I've had a few things go wrong and they always sort things out no-questions asked!

I have to say that Play are probably the best online retailer in the world at the moment, though CDWow are good even though their prices have gone up.

It is worth paying the extra quid for a retailer you can trust

Totally agree with that, in fact I'd use Play in preference to most other e-tailers except for the "specialised" films I occassionally like to watch

I'm not too familiar with this. Isn't it just ebay by another name?

Not exactly, basically people register their 2nd hand, or new dvds on amazon for whatever price they want, and you pay Amazon for them, and Amazon pay the seller. I suppose there's a slight risk of thing going astray, but apparently Amazon will refund you if you have a problem.

That's not a bad idea, I've normally avoided the Marketplace pages like the plague but I may start taking notice of them.

Marketplace is totally risk free!
Amazon marketplace also sell NTSC imports of every movie in the US at very cheap prices, totally new. Amazon guarantees your purchase. The only time it ever went wrong for me was when someone advertised the "R2 Alien Quadrilogy" 9 disk boxset new for £15 delivered. I purchased it but the seller backed out (not allowed after payment under marketplace rules) and refunded my money, on complaining to Amazon, Amazon sold me the boxset for the same price. You can't beat that for service.
