Play.com delivery times
Ordered an Xbox game from Play.com last night, just wondered what there average delivery times are. Its says usaully despatched within 24 hours?
Reason I am asking is because I was hoping to get it for Saturday.

they are normally excellent and you may be lucky but though they despatch in 24 hours you are then at the mercy of Royal Mail,

I find with play, from the day of ordering it normally takes 2-3 days. Now if you ordered yesterday day you might have just made it. But I think you will be very lucky if you get it for saturday. It has to come from Jersey..
I shall keep my fingers crossed for you..

2-3 days is normal for me too and I've ordered from them many times. If ordering on a Thursday night, it will get processed Friday and in that instance I would expect to receive it by Monday/Tuesday, most likely Tuesday.

in my experience from play.com, the larger the parcel the sooner it arrives. for instance a single dvd in a jiffy bag will probably take 3-4 days after ordering to arrive, however a spindle of discs which came in a box has been delivered late the next day - on several occasions.

I ordered 2 DVD's from them on Tuesday, and they arrived in the post this morning (Friday). Can't complain about that for a speedy delivery

Very impressed it arrived this morning.
If I had ordered during the day on Thursday instead of the night then I bet it would have arrived on Saturday.

I'd go along with that. A couple of years ago they were excellent and stuff used arrive the next day. I even used to receive DVDs a few days before the release date from time to time!
It has slowed down now considerably, but they are by no means the slowest out there. But I guess that's due to their success and good luck to them!

Think it all depends on the title, sometimes they can get orders sent out within a few hours of ordering, sometimes it can take 24+ hours so if you want something for the weekend always make sure you have placed your order by midday on Wednesday.

I think they offer great service and have been a customer for a while now. However, I order a lot less from them than I used to, I just find that they are not that competitive on price anymore (cd-wow has stolen a lot of my business!)
