DVD soon "In transit"

Recently I keep getting the "In transit" status on orders from dvdsoon. They all say "In Stock" yet for 5 days they have been "In Transit".

They don't even have an "In Transit" status in the faq!

Any one else getting this?

I've had this a few times, i think they mean it's in transit to them from their suppliers,

But if this is the case they shouldn't show as in stock on the site.

The only positive thing is i've never had to wait more than about 10 days for delivery of a in transit title.

But i think i've been fairly lucky with dvdsoon as i haven't had too wait to long even for out of stock titles.

Famous last Words

"In Transit" means that your film is being transfered from their other warehouse and is on it's way to the distrbution warehouse. When it arrives it will go straight into "Packaging".

Hope this helps.

Does in not show as "on hand" before going to packaging?

The other warehouse must be on the moon. It really should't say "In Stock 48-72" if their other warehouse is a week away.

I've had that too recently.

At the risk of starting yet another thread on the pros and cons of DVDSoon it does annoy me slightly that once items are in "packaging" (including "in transit") you cannot cancel your order. I could understand it if they really were in packaging and imminently being despatched but that doesn't seem to always apply. I'm only annoyed though because they are now selling the same title (shown as in-stock) for $2 less than I paid. Not much in real terms but it's the priciple of it.

Rant over,

John

That's the biggest problem i have with dvdsoon, in the past month i've ordered 5 dvds and all of them have gone down in price since changing to in transit and packaging so i can't cancel them.

It's cost me $20 on those 5 dvds and they hadn't even been dispatched

To change topic for a minute, has anyone got the dvdsoon fidelity icard and if so how long after placing orders do your ipoints show up on your account ?
I bought the icard about 2 weeks ago and have bought quite a few dvds since but i haven't had any points, i was wondering if i should email them about it ?

Stevie, try the website "dvd-swaps.com" for an answer as they have a forum on there. You will need to register first to post.

My latest order shows as in transit, but the option is still there to cancel. I can't say i've tried it because I want the order.

Also, I am yet to receive a confirmation email after 3 days. Is this something I should be concerned about?

ooops - I was having a bad day yesterday
I just cancelled my order and re-ordered at the lower price. Either I missed the option altogether or becasue one of the items within the order was in packaging it wouldn't let me delete the order, but now that it has shipped it will.

Cheers,

John

Normaly DVDSOON send immediately a confirmation about the order you make.
But if the order is showing on your account I think u don`t need to worry to much.
