Post Support for Movietyme

@ 18:43 on the 13 August 2001 I placed an order for THE GOONIES costing £13.99

It arrived this morning ( 17 August ) @ 08:30

Not bad !!!!

I should also say that the other orders I have placed with them have never had any trouble, although I have waited about 2 weeks for one film ( ROCK CRITERION )

<br />Currently just getting very angry.

<br />I am sure that if Movietyme do deliver then they are cheap and quick, but what happens when something goes wrong or you have a query?

<br />Will never use them again. Ever.

ONO I understand how annoying your situation is. Out of interest have you been charged for your order ? also have you filled this in

<a href="http://www.movietyme.com/newpages/lostpost.html" target="_blank">http://www.movietyme.com/newpages/lostpost.html</a>

<br />Craig seems to have been answering less and less questions over at <a href="http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3991" target="_blank">http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3991</a> and Movietyme have ALWAYS been bad at answering emails <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

However I would still say that looking at posts on various forums and from experiances myself and friends have had that these bad expereiences are still the minority. I assume my wait for THE ROCK was due to its popularity. My Criterion Withnail and I arrived 2 days after order and so did many other titles that friends of mine have ordered.

Movietyme do have there fair share of problems but I shall continue to use them for Bargains and also those titles which they can get me early. Also a good bet for the R4 DTS Mummy Returns.

Also ONO have you tried to get your film from <a href="http://www.ringos.co.uk" target="_blank">www.ringos.co.uk</a> who I have never heard a bad thing about, its currently £10 check this link <a href="http://home.bt-webworld.com/ringos/ORIENT.htm" target="_blank">http://home.bt-webworld.com/ringos/ORIENT.htm</a>

Thanks Duncan for your points.

To be honest I think that if any company offers a service (price should not be a factor here) then you MUST have the ability and resources to answer your customer's queries.

Movietyme obviously don't do this in a satisfactory manner - relying on Bulletin Boards ***!

<br />Thanks for the link to Ringos, but I am going to get my brother in Hong Kong to send the disc over once (if) I hear from Movietyme. I loathe to cancel my order until I hear from them because I have heard instances of them not cancelling properly and still sending discs through.

<br />The CUSTOMER pays their bills and wages. They should remember that.

Thumbs up

Used Movietyme since mid '99.

One missing disc.

Filled in 'Missing Mail' sheet

Replacement arrived 3 days later.

Top company.

'Nuff said.

DuncanW

<br />Many thanks for your attempt at the other BBS to get Movietyme to answer my order query.

Just to let you know I have cancelled the order now and won't be using Movietyme again ever.

At the same time I will also refrain from slagging them off further as most of you guys seem to have had good service from them. (Unless they go and send me the disc or charge me now that I have cancelled!)

Next on my hit-list is Play247. Where is my copy of Hannibal!!?? <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

<br />Once again, many thanks.

It just makes you appreciate how RELIABLE play247 are.<br />I don't know why movietyme don't have a facility to track your order?

ONO

this was emailed to me

Hi Duncan,<br /> <br />Sorry for the non reply i have been trying to sort something out about this. Yes we have taken Accidental off the site, the reason for this is that 8/10 we get from HK are shakers, the cases they come in are the worst. Sorry we are unable to fill this order and i would advise when you do order it to ask if it can be sent somehow so it is not a shaker. Again sorry for this but i hope this advise helps.<br /> <br />Kind regards<br /> <br />Craig<br />MovieTyme "Bringing Hollywood That Little Bit Closer...."<br />Digital Fixxx "For the Obscure and Downright Unpleasant on DVD"<br />DVDSkin "Your World Of Adult Entertainment"

Unhappy

Many thanks Duncan.

<br />What can I say!?

Why this wasn't relayed to me personally I don't know. <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

All I had was a simple question for Craig requiring a YES or NO answer and he couldn't even be arsed to tell me.

I am sick and tired of that company.

Cheers Duncan.
