cdwow - wheres my star wars?!

hi all, anyone else still waiting for the star wars r1 boxset?

patience is usually my middle name but i cant wait any longer. Are they usually this slack or do they stick to the rules on release dates?

have just fired off a mail to complain as theyve had my money since july and its saying its been dispatched on my account.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!

I can't help you with the Star Wars DVD's but I do know that they stated on the email they sent to confirm a purchase I made that delivery would take 5 to 7 days, which is pretty slow.
If they promised delivery of the SW DVD's on release day then I'd be livid!

the release date was 20/9 but as i say i thought (maybe mistakenly) they would get it dispatched lively, especially as they put the pre-order up so long ago.

Not Star Wars, butmy last couple of orders (Shaun of the Dead and DAwn of the Dead Ultimate Edition) were both delayed by CD-Wow.

They never used to be like this as far as I can remember.

The release date was the 20th it's now the 23rd how can you call this being patient?

If they said they have dispatched it then it will be with you in due course.

I don't pre-order very often but the last time I did from CD wow was hellboy region 3 which I've received a couple of days before due date.

Miniholic, when was your Boxset dispatched? Mine was sent on 19-Sep but no sign yet, even though other discs posted by them the same day and on the 20th have all shown up. SW was the only R1 title though, I presume that's what is slowing it down? But I'm not surprised, I have multiple outstanding DVDPacific orders so I'm used to waiting 25 days for my postie to bring nice things (serves me right for being a cheapo and opting for surface mail, I s'pose!)

Dan.

Never been a fan of cd-wow for delivery times. play.com is pretty good but dvd.co.uk is the best for delivery.

I too am still waiting for my R1 Star Wars Boxset.

This was shipped from PlayUsa.com on 14/9/04 so I can only assume its somewhere between customs and RM.

Based on other customs charged items I had to sort this week (Dawn of the Dead boxsets) I expect the SW Box to finally put in an appearance tomorrow (fingers crossed).
