I ordered the Thuderbirds Box set from them back in Nov '04.
Can't remember how fast they were but they are not too good at communicating with you and don't email you when your order is despatched, only when they receive your order.

Re: The Hut.Com
Has anyone had problems with this merchant not paying their Quidco commission ? I've just had a transaction come back as being 'declined'

quidco is ALWAYS cancelled - i never use discount codes (these can stop quidco going through) and i always go directly through quidco's link
placed quite a few orders - usually bargains to be fair - but very rarely do i get the item. usually wait 4/5 months and after endless emails i get the orders cancelled.
i wont use them again, no matter what the price.
placed an order in november/december - just received it last week

Re: The Hut.Com
I've used them a couple of times when they've had their 10% off offers. Everything has always turned up in a couple of days to a week, no longer. Certainly as good as anyone else.
From the look of the postage label, as far as I can remember they do post form Jersey.
I'd certainly use them again.

Re: The Hut.Com
I just used them for the first time. Item was out of stock, but was sent yesterday after about 4 days. I got an email notification on dispatch. They seem to only charge when the item is actually dispatched, which is good. So far so good!

Re: The Hut.Com
How long do they usually take to post items?
I ordered 3 Blu-Rays on Saturday 15.03.08 and they are still "Awaiting Stock Pick".

don't know why that happens with some ... I've never had a Quidco Hut transaction declined, and all to date have paid out ... and yes they have all been with 5% or 10% discount codes
only one order of mine recently took ages (Danger Man 13-disc boxset for ~£16), but it was a misprice that was backordered and honoured
EDIT ... by the way I have occasionally cancelled Hut orders myself (as I've found it cheaper, forgot to use a discount code or just had second thoughts about the item)
- and guess what, I received Quidco commission on all these cancelled orders too!!

Re: The Hut.Com
I always get an email for despatch, however I have to say I only use them if they are significantly cheaper.. They make no effort to get pre orders out on time and Im still waiting for pre ordered discs to arrive from last week yet other suppliers got them to be by the weekend before release.

Re: The Hut.Com
This thread is pretty old, so i wondered if anyone could tell me if they are better now, or just general impressions of the place!
When i use price comparision sites for movies, the hut always come amongst the top 3 cheapest, and their site looks reliable!
