DVDSOON are brill, I one happy customer

After everyone gave DVDSoon a slagging off, I thought I would give em a go.
With all the talk of long delays I was a bit concerned but their prices looked fantastic.
So ordered Total Recall Limited Edition (in a tin) £6.05p on 19th
ordered Fairy Tale: A True Story on the 21st £6.05p

Fairy Tale shipped 27th arrived this morn 31st
Totall Recall shipped 31st arrived Sat 4th Sept

can't fault em on price or delivery times, will use often!

You were lucky. I'm not one of the anti-DVD Soon brigade, but you'll soon find that they are not always that quick. They are brilliant for pre-ordered new releases, but if you're ordering older titles, which are often ridiculously cheap, be prepared for a wait. Doesn't stop me using them, but I do lose patience after a month or so.

I had Kill Bill 2 in 3 days after ordering (I waited to see the subtitle situtation with the Region 3), and Bubba Ho-tep in about 3 months after ordering (it actually turned up yesterday).

To be fair the delay with Bubba wasn't with DVDSoon but with the distribution company, but DVDSoon could have done themselves a big favour by actually passing this information on to anybody with a pre-order.

Yes it does. Look for the Limited Edition, and scroll down the details. It says Tin Case or Tin Box, or something like that, but it's not DTS. I think the only DTS one is the Jap version, but I would be happy to be corrected.

Edit: Told a lie, you can get a Korean DTS version, but that one is supposed to be inferior to the Dolby Digital soundtrack, whereas the Jap version is apparently full bitrate.

All Dts versions are very poor for this film so i would not spend all that money on trying to get one

Just had shipping confirmation for Stargate SG1 box set which I ordered exactly 1 month ago. If they weren't so damned cheap I would certainly go elsewhere.

I've ordered from dvdsoon some 26 times in the last 18 months, occasionally with multiple packages and I am extremely happy overall. Ok if they don't have the item in stock it can take a while for items to be received, but that's in the minority of cases. IMO, the positives far outweigh the negatives. Not only are they cheaper than the cheapest uk site but you also get films months before their uk release. i.e. the average film is £4 cheaper than on Play. Bigger savings on box sets. £18 for Friends when they were still £50+ on Play. 21 grammes is just getting released, I've had it since mid April! Same with Lost in Translation. Also good for getting Gamecube games early and cheaper. If I could use only one site on the net, this would be it.

In the past they'd even lie about the value of the contents. 2 Gamecube games worth £55 became £10. Though they don't do that anymore it would seem. Still, (touch wood), I have never been charged import tax.

Agreed with the general view that they are really good when they have the stuff in stock but maybe not quite so good when they dont. But I like them and they remain in the top two retailers (along with pacific) that I use to get R1 dvds. I am only too happy to have already given them my money for the EE of the RotK, says it all really.
