Pixar plays it safe for sequel
Director Andrew Stanton has been signed up to take the helm of Pixar's follow up to the incredibly successful Finding Nemo. Stanton, who also directed the original, is coming off the back of a box office flop in the shape of John Carter which was his first live action movie after successfully steering the animated Finding Nemo and Wall-E.
Finding Nemo is Pixar's second-highest-grossing movie ever behind Toy Story 3 so it's unlikely Stanton will suffer the same fate with his new movie and Pixar will be hoping the new film follows in the footsteps of the original that scooped an Academy Award for 'Best Animated Film'.
Precious few other details are available at this time but you can bank on that changing quite quickly as the publicity builds up!
