I may not look at these for several years - apart from the usual on-receipt checks - but I know I'd kick myself later if I didn't order these!
I read a few of the Amazon customer reviews, and it seems that these sets are crammed with extras that are actually worth watching!

And I'm glad that I've started logging in for a brief lunchtime session, in addition to my normal lengthy evening/morning session! My Amazon order acknowledgement is timed at 12:50 today.

This may come as a shock but I don't think I ever saw a single episode from start to finish, remember catching them on BBC2 on Sundays and always wanted to watch them, hope they don't cancel them.

I ordered season 2 and 3, having already got 1. The extras are indeed fantastic. Each episode covers an important event in history as you know, and the extras go into some depth about that event. So for example, the early episode with a young Indy in egypt, the extras explore the first egyptologists and archeologists.

I remember reading somewhere that Lucas intended them to be used as educational aids in classes. Thery are as good as the episodes themselves sometimes. A great, great series.

Had all 3 dispatched on Friday, was quite surprised as Amazon listed something like 'expect to wait 6-12 days'

My 3 sets are scheduled for dispatch 6 June - 11 June.
I don't mind waiting - as long as they don't cancel the order!

Yes, I got Vol 2 yesterday as well. As an example of Amazon's thriftiness, it came in the same package as "Into the Blue" blu-ray, although the 2 items were on separate orders. Not the first time that Amazon have combined my orders to cut down the postage cost. Not a complaint, just an observation.

Did you select to have them shipped as soon as they were available or wait until all items were available before shipping?

Soon as, in fact s1 was in separate order as I noticed that first, only then did I think to look for s2 and s3 prices (ordered together).

s1:
Not Yet Dispatched: 1 item - Dispatch estimate: 6 Jun 2012 - 11 Jun 2012

Not too big a deal, doubt I'll watch before xmas, but I'll be happier when they ship, and then can't be cancelled.

I've noticed this too. I had 3 items that I ordered separately all dispatch together. One of them was so small I didn't even realise it was in the box with the others until I went to throw out the box.

Like you say, not a complaint, but strange as I ordered all the Indiana Jones together and then they separate that order up. Still not got mine yet, but only S2 has been despatched so far.

I selected for them to wait until all items were available, perhaps that made a difference or perhaps they just knew who I am

Same here for vol 1 & 3. Bit irritated (with amazon) that I ordered first and others have received them all.

Still honouring the deal though. I'm happy with that as knew they wee out of stock when I ordered and I expect a lot of people jumped on this deal. Got season 2 waiting on the shelf for his brothers :D

If they honour it then I'll be happy too, I don't mind waiting, but past experience says this email is often followed up by another saying order cancelled.

Like other posters, I received a worrying email about delays on Vols 1 and 3.
I've now had a dispatch estimate of 18 Jun 2012 for Vol 3, so I won't give up hope on Vol 1.

EDIT: Vol 3 actually dispatched Friday 15 June.

I have boxsets 2 and 3, and still waiting for season 1, annoying as I wanna watch them in order! Don't go much on the DVD holders in season 3, very odd
