Re: Terminator Salvation

or Tesco at £15.98 with 500 club card points i.e £5 back, thus £10.98
add to that 8% quidco plus 30 ordinary clubcard points so £9.40

I can't find where on the Tesco site it says that you get 500 points. Can you help? I have this on order with Amazon at £14.98 but will switch it to Tesco if there are indeed 500 points.

500 points back which I'll spend on bread. Or something

Tesco could be on to a winner if they keep that up!

Re: Terminator Salvation

i'm certainly tempted to order a few but it's a bit risky considering it doesn't say anywhere that it's registered the points.. i want moon, harry potter (is it in the deal or not?), terminator and district 9 and this is by far the cheapest way to get them, but if the points don't go in, it puts them all over my spending budget for blu-rays!

says on the main page for the offer:

500 extra Clubcard points (Extra Points) will not be shown in the online basket at the checkout. They will be will be awarded in the February Clubcard Statement Extra Points will be awarded for each unique title purchased from the promotion title range. Multiple purchases of the same title will not be eligible for Extra Points. Extra Points will not be awarded for orders cancelled by you or where you return promotional titles. This does not affect your statutory rights. The Extra points promotion is for personal use only and Tesco Entertainment reserve the right to withdraw or amend this promotion where we reasonably suspect abuse of this promotion.

Re: Terminator Salvation

Just cancelled my Lovefilm 10% off order for TS and ordered from Tesco instead. Makes sense as I do all my grocery shopping with Tesco online. I also ordered Inglorious Basterds, Harry P and District 9. Gonna be an expensive month

Re: Terminator Salvation

Nothing dodgy about Tesco Points. Keep the grab above and if there's a problem phone their 0800 number and they'll add the points.

No problem for me cos I do shop in there but I'd not order these otherwise.

There was 2-3 more titles but they've been removed since they're released now.

I don't think Harry P is in the 500 point offer.

Hi, it's listed as such on this page. Actually, I've also contacted Tesco directly and they have confirmed that it is part of the offer.

Re: Terminator Salvation

I know this is slightly off topic, but is the harry potter the 2x blu ray that HMV (edit + Amazon) sell? (Not bothered about digital copy but the extra blu looked interesting). This just mentions blu+DVD - not bothered by the DVD, just want 2x blu.

Steve
I've ordered the H.P. boxed set of the 6 films released so far in their soon to be release Blu Ray version at just under £40 ... which seems to be the standard price everywhere at the moment.

This may be a mistake on my part since I did order ' The Prisoner ' the Instant that the Blu Ray Box set actually appeared ... after lots of rumors delays and doubts about whether or not it would appear at all .. only to see that now the price of the box set of ' The Prisoner ' has just fallen by £10. Oh, well.

I'm not in such a hurry for 'Terminator Salvation ' and so it can wait for its inevitable appearance in one of the Three for Two or Two for One offers in the new year.

Who knows perhaps the Amazon Accidental Three for One offer will re-appear?

Arnold.

You seem to post alot of these 'Not really a bargain' threads in the 'Bargains' forum section. Just thought I'd point that out.

Agree with this a bargain would be £5

Maybe there should be a Currently cheapest for new release's thread would be more suitable

Thanks a million for that

Terminator Salvation, Leona's and Robbies Album is a few Crimbo prezzies sorted and £15 worth of vouchers which is nearly half a Tussaud Annual pass for one of us next year

I'd have to spend £1500 in tesco's to get as many points

I've umm and arr about keeping my us order in play, until now had been the cheapest way to obtain t4 but uk and us copies seem to be identical, uk has one disc us three, ones a digital copy, so pretty well pointless to me. uk uses branching for both versions on one disc, us sep discs , extra identical, sound identical. Slight chance of different codecs and slight diff in pq but prob not. (using sep diecs should give them a little more space, as would having fewer langs. but prob working off the same master). So why still keep the us order and theonly thing I can now think of is that I think the covers a bit naff, and like the us cover more, But then when its sitting on the shelf how much of it will I see? Prob switching my order to Tesco now, with quico too cheap for me to say no.

Excuse me It is my second one (this and star trek) plus it is still the cheapest way of getting the film.

I don't know why I bother. Most don't even get a reply (here and DVD) anyway. That's it, no more find your own.

Maybe thats 2 too many then. Problem is people come in here looking for a bargain, get their hopes up when they see the thread you started, click on it and find its just a fairly average 'not really a bargain' price.

Meanwhile the 'not really a bargain' thread you started pushes a geniune bargain thread onto the 2nd page where it will probably not be seen.

Just saying - thats how it is.

imho if its under £17.99 and its a new "blockbuster" release i class that as a bargain! (i know i shouldnt but if i use instore asda prices as a general rule and the place i tend to see the most cheaper discs nowadays anything lower than £18 for new release and £13 for catalogue seems good!) we dont all have the time to track every release and the best price someone has found it for so i would like to thank everyone who posts any "bargains" as it does help thanks guys/gals

Dont you go listening to anyone else, or one person's opinion for that matter.

If you think it's a good price, then you go right ahead and post it up.

I for one do look in the bargain section, so i thank you for posting your finding's.

Keep it up

it'd be easiest if people a) posted the price in the title and b) looked to make sure the same blu hasn't already been posted at a cheaper price

that way if it says £17.99 you know to ignore it if that's not a bargain to you, personally i don't think anything over £14 is a bargain, but i'm sure some people would be happy with £14.95 for terminator, although it is also apparently £12.79 elsewhere

Dude, you done good posting this thread so don't feed trolls and idiots like Lunar Wolf. Fact is, if it's under the norm then it's a bargain for someone and the fact it gets talked about means people will post when they see it cheaper. That's good too.

This is a forum the last I look so it ain't much good if we don't post stuff.

Not that wagging fingers and moaning about a bargain doesn't bump the thread back to the top of the page, further handicapping the 'genuine' bargain.

Whoops there it goes again!

Get real people, bargains are in the eye of the beholder and we are all welcome to post what we think is a good price.

Thanks Garratt and yah boo sucks to everyone else (that have nothing better to do than moan)!
