HMV 2 for £18

HMV have replaced their 2 for £20 for with a 2 for £18. A lot of the titles are the same with some new one's thrown in. Glad I ordered Leon and Gran Torino in the last offer because they are missing from this new one. Some titles I'm personally considering are Angel-A, Payback and The Wrestler.

Re: HMV 2 for £18

Tried to buy Death Race and Dark Knight, but Dark Knight shows as £10.99 on the promo page, then adds to basket at £12.99 and won't apply the promo discount

Hopefully they'll sort this out later. I was tempted by the old offer and Gran Torino would've been one of my choices but never mind!

Yep Dark Knight has vanished too (I think replaced by Batman Begins).
That's me out then, as only 1 I want in the offer now!

25 titles have been taken out. I still couldn't find another one I wanted anyway to go with RE Degeneration.

Not really, you paid what you thought was a fair trade, deal done.

I bought Leon and Dead Snow for £20 a couple days ago, I don't regret it as I think £10 each is good. £9 is obviously better, but so what?

Looks like there are a few new additions to hmv's 2 for £18 selection. I know play had gladiator and the negotiator, but I didn't think hmv had it in their selection before. Thought it might be worth a bump.

Great price for Thirst BD, but I'll hold off for the eventually released director's cut, which I'm told is why there isn't a running commentary on the 133min cut down version.

Still no Moon, though. It's part of the 2 for £25 instore offer, but I guess this doesn't always mean it translates to the website.

HMV do state on their site (usually at the bottom of a page) that "these are web prices and may differ in their stores" plus DVDs & BD's do vary on offers. On the on the odd occasion the shop price can be (rarely) lower, in other words they have to cover themselves, usually the web prices are cheaper. You can also use Quidco but HMV don't always apply it, sometimes yes sometimes no...go figure.
