Cool Thor, Thanos and Doc Savage.

Here is my Thor with the interchangeable hand and type of hammer, the spinning and static hammer.

Thanos is the guy you may have spotted at the end of a very popular super hero film also he was in the Silver Surfer cartoon.

Doc Savage from the novels, film and DC graphic novels. The dome beneath his feet is a miniature of his Fortress of Solitude (which was well before they had the idea for Superman) inside it which I'm unable to get a clear picture of is the Doc Savage logo used on all his publications.

what, no pics of Jean Grey this time

three nice statues, have never seen the doc savage one before and its always nice to see something different

which thor display do you prefer..... I like the idea of the spinning hammer and its good to see them trying something different but to me it looks a bit like a big wheel attached to his hand

No its a sugar lump he likes his coffee sweet.

Only joking yes is but I think they only called it it that in the films its generally known as the comic cube , its probably the biggest character I have apart from Galactus. Looking at him aside hes about 6 times there bulk although in proportion hes only 6'7''.
I think the painted his eyes with luminous paint as they glow in the dark.

Here he is in proportion to Jean Grey to make Gam happy and Captain Marvel bust who was his one time nemesis.

As for which hammer looks better the spinning one looks better in RL but both look very good I have him on top of a display with Odin.

Would you recommend Thor. I was tempted to pick that up a while back but decided against it?

Yes for the price I got it it it certainly is both a very nice sculpt and was one of the better value statues. Some of the plainer statues are going for the same price as the more detailed. The Thanos was one of the more expensive yet does not have massive detail but just has bulk I got him because I like the character.

I was thinking about getting Thor earlier as well, I watched statuehunter's review and thought it looked great, so many Bowen pieces though, it's a line that's probably harder to complete for late comers than Sideshow's Premium Formats

theres been that many of them that it would be hard to display them all never mind even being able to list or get them all...... better to stick and concentate on the characters or groups you want or like rather than just getting them to try to complete a line

only have 8 (9 in a few weeks) myself and about half a dozen other marvel statues of similar scale to display with them and they're definetly easier to display together in numbers than the sideshow premium formats

One of the few Bowen statues I have which this Jean grey bust is one and I always find room for it when I put a new selection up.

still have to sort out the shelf (maybe shelves) for the bowen, koto and similar scaled marvel pieces...... I have an x-23 coming in a few weeks so will maybe get around to it then but this is my Marvel Girl right beside the sofa at the minute, excuse the reflections on the perspex

and yep thats a very nice mini-bust of her and have already been tempted with it....... I picked up the variant version of her a good few years ago and resides with my set of Astonishing X-men busts from the same manufacturer beside my pc desk
