2000AD by threeA

Dont think many people on here collect threeA, I only know of my good friend tigerfeet, but this should bring threeA the front of all things 1/6!!

Press Release

16 November 2009

Fans of 2000 AD everywhere get set to rejoice, as 3A Toys are proud to announce their licensing agreement with Rebellion for a range of brand new 2000 AD action figures. Many characters from the pages of the galaxy’s greatest comic, from Judge Dredd to the A.B.C. Warriors and beyond are set to be made as 1/6th scale, fully-articulated works of art.

Ashley Wood, CEO 3A Toys said “2000 AD and the worlds within its pages was inspirational in igniting the dream of becoming a comic artist for me, which lead to my first professional comic job, illustrating a Dredd Story for the Megazine. It feels very gratifying and exciting to revisit this universe now with toys.”

Jason Kingsley, COE of the Rebellion Group, home of 2000 AD said: "We're really looking forward to seeing what Ashley's company comes up with. I need more high quality action figures for my office."

Coming soon in 2010; the toy line that all 2000 AD fans have been waiting for.

More about 3A

3A Toys was formed as a partnership between internationally acclaimed artist Ashley Wood and leading designer toy maker ThreeZero in 2008. 3A Toys is home to the hit toy line World War Robot, Metal Gear Solid and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. 3A is located in the Kowloon district of Hong Kong.

Awesome news.

I would be all over a Nemesis the Warlock & Rogue Trooper figure like a strong moss.

ABC Warriors would be cool too

Rogue Trooper and ABC are ones that Ash wants to do as well as all the judges....

3A quality and attention to detail is superb so this is going to be a very cool line of figures to watch out for next year...

I know I'm really surprised I always thought AD had a huge following.

I've been a fan ever since I first saw Nemesis the Warlock, then I got right into the ABC Warriors & then found Rogue Trooper which was simply awesome
I like Dredd but never been a massive follower.

I actually dug out my original Nemesis Graphic Novels over the weekend for a re-read & I'm quite tempted to fire up the speccy for a game of Nemesis & Rogue Trooper.

Really cant wait for prototype shots now...genuinely really excited about these.
Infact these are my most anticipated figures of 2010 now...even more than the Hot Toys figures.

Various quotes from Ashley Wood

"it all depends on you guys, if there is demand I can make anything..."

"dredd and death are cool, but there are so many other cool, or cooler characters in the 2000ad stable, Stontium Dog could be its own toy line, Nemesis, ABC Warriors, Rogue Trooper, DR&Quinch, Slaine, Harry20, Ro-Busters etc.. each of those titles has many cool characters worth making. So many !!!"

"um yea, thats what I have been saying, ALL OF THEM, not just Dredd, Death etc''

''The characters will look like the comic version, im not redesigning them, Durham will look like Carlos first did it and so on.... these are 2000ad comic toys, not hyper realistic BS reworks to fit in with a trend or get popularity points, 2000ad toys for 2000ad fans.."

"Im mcmahon/kennedy dredd fan, Bolland is awesome, carlos, bisley, the list grows, there will be a few, the apocalypse war dredd will have a carlos feel, stub gun included !"

And this made me SO happy

Too often people just think of only the Judges from 2000AD & ignore so much of the better characters I'm totally over the moon with Ashley's comments on the whole series.
Toys for proper 2000AD fans & not remade character alikes are all I ever wanted.

Thank you Ashley for making making me one seriously happy camper

Oh dear that's freaking sweet

Any ideas on release information yet Breaker??

Would love to get the full ABC Warriors for a display that would look so cool.

Wish they'd hurry up with a Rogue Trooper & Nemesis the Warlock though

Mongrol will be on sale Feb 28th, 9:00 AM Hong-Kong time which is 1am UK time.....so not long to wait now.

3A products do tend to sell out <24hours however they have stated that Mongrol will be up for alot longer.

Along with the classic version shown here there will also be a back version, selling price is $250 which is inclusive of shipping so given where its coming from that is quite a good price.....oh and if you are 3AA then don't forget the 15% discount.
