Nendoroid Figures

Just wondering if anyone here collects them or has any in their collection?
I know they're not really "movie" but I've noticed that not all figures in collections are movie related so I thought here would be the best place to post.

Have been tempted to start focusing my collection on these just they seem hard to find in the UK and I'm not going to trust fleabay etc. I've got one on the way from Play-Asia to see what I think of them anyways.

So, anyone here collect?

Re: Nendoroid Figures

I just happen to come across this link while Googling.

I sort of a collector, I'd say. Not hardcore, just a minor collection. But yeah, Nendoroids are unique to collect. I like to think of them as Japanese versions of bobble-heads (that don't bobble).

I'll try to post pics here later.

There are very decent sellers in 'fleabay', you just need to look out for them. Watch out for very low priced ones as these are more likely bootleg. Normally they would range from $35-45, for the real deal.

Play-asia, Hobbylink Japan, AmiAmi, are good sites to checkout.

Good luck with this venture!

Thanks, my first one came the other week from Play-Asia and it sparked a thread regarding a missing part:
Play-Asia "Manufacturing defect"

Thanks for the other sites to check out, I don't overly fancy dealing with Play-Asia any more as they don't seem overly eager to help with any issues

I noticed that ebay isn't really the place to go for them, though I found a site and have been in contact with the guy who runs it in the UK who gets some Nendoroid figures in, so if they look like the genuine article I'll be picking them up from him.

Look forward to seeing your collection anyways

Talking Re: Nendoroid Figures

I read your thread about the missing part, sorry to hear.

But that was a good move going to GoodSmile Company. They are a very reputable company and good to work with (as far as I've heard). Plus they're one of the top notch figure makers out there.

I hope this gets sorted out. And I hope your local contact gets you hooked up with good deals.

Yeah, I was hesitant with ebay myself, but with some research, I managed to 'lock on' to reputable sellers there.

In any case, here's my collection so far. I never liked Nendos before - but when I saw one in person, I became a 'convert'. Tsuruya-san (lower right) was my first Nendo.

I have two more coming, so hope it arrives soon. A majority of these I got from ebay, and two more good online stores (Toyslogic and Robert's Anime Corner).

You may want to check/join myfigurecollection.net and Nuts for Anime Figures website (I'm a member on both). They got good resources there and friendly people too.

In any case, welcome to the world of Nendo 'madness' And Goodsmile is getting better and better with the newer releases, the detail is amazing for such a small figure.

Cheers!

Re: Nendoroid Figures

Yeah GoodSmile seem to be brilliant for customer service (only time I've had to contact them I got a quick response and it was the exact one I was hoping for).

Seems you have nearly all the figures I've been trying to locate!
Miku Hatsune is proving to be one of the harder ones but I think I may be onto one. Also looking around everywhere for a Haruhi Suzumiya one, I'll check those sites out, thanks for that!

I've also started to collect larger PVC figures but I am really taken by the Nendoroids, so I might just stick to them from now.
