Exclamation Hot Toys the Dark Knight

Could anyone who owns this tell me the exact height of the figure on the base and the dimesions of the base in centimeters or inches

I am thinking of getting a case made for the figure, which I currently have on order

Re: Hot Toys the Dark Knight

I dont have either yet but mine are also on order, but regards to your question I think it will depend on which one you are getting? is it the Batman figure or the Joker?

Re: Hot Toys the Dark Knight

it is Batman:The Dark Knight version. I am going to place and order later on for the Joker Police Officer figure as it is also the Joker in his regular guise as well

its about 14" in height with the base mate, and the base is around 4" wide but obviously the figure is wider in parts than the base so beware

Re: Hot Toys the Dark Knight

I just measured my Batman Dark Knight figure and he comes in just under 12 3/4 inches high with the display stand. The display stand is 5 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches in depth. Think carefully about the size of the display case you want for this figure. I bought a display case for my Hot Toys Ancient Predator ( the one with the alien head on the spear ), but found it wasn't high enough to display the model with his arm raised high to display the aliens head over his own. If you get a case thats too big, and don't use the space to good effect then your model will look lost in the case. But mark my words, the display case will only add to the figure, and make it more expensive looking than it actually is! And by the way, my Hot Toys Bat-Pod arrived yesterday, and Batman looks sweeeeeet on it!!! Awesome!.

check out the massive thread on sideshowcollectors forum, also check out the tumbler one, theres pic of them in a large amount in a row, prob worth few grand in one pic , they where pics from the factory. well worth checking them out.

also instead of a case, there is a diorama that someone made of the interrogation scene from dark night with real broken glass, looks top quality.

i was late to the batman 1/6 scene (got IM myself) and one member made a 1/6 batsignal which he sold to the members, not sure if any got them yet as they take ages to make but looked so cool with bats standing on top with his long cape

ill rummage for the links later on.

lol you aint gonna get that tumbler in a detolf

got my dark knight dx on preorder, and im so gonna get tempted to buy tumber or pod but by the time i have money for either after other things that i do need more(new car/tv) they might not be available. only used or new with highly inflated price. but i think to myself, man that tumbler looks terrible inside. but pod looks bad a$$ from any angle.

did you search for the interrogation room diorama? looks well cool, plus wasnt expensive to make apparently.

Re: Hot Toys the Dark Knight

lol kinda getting off topic but can the pod fit in a detolf? cant remeber size of pod but unit is like 18" or am i way off. i did say in another forum, if they they get the tumbler buy a glass coffee table and display it in the middle of the livingroom.

heres the link

erm i think if you angled the batpod you could fit it into a detolf i dont know, i might just display it on top of my detolf anyway so theres more room in the cabinet. that interrogation room diorama is seriously awesome but wouldnt know where to begin making one.....think i will wait for the tutorial thanks for the links anyway....its weird this cos i was thinking today about what scenes i could replicate with my detolf and i am considering getting my friend the graphic designed to make me some backdrops i.e la salle street for the truck flip/batpod scene.

you havent got any batman yet ???? you need to catch up and fast lol the original costume dark knight 1/6 is awesome (although now the most expensive) and the BR joker is quality i would advise you to invest my friend

if you can get hold of the original costume 1/6 its worth it as it looks so much better than the dark knight version, although it will cost you probably double and it is difficult to get hold of ...have i sold it to you lol

You could just wait for Batman DX although you will have to wait until JAn next year ! i like both but i prefer my original costume 1/6 as it looks so much better and it is better made the cape on the dark knight version isnt attached very well and its nowhere near as long. Plus u get more gadgets with the original version

Re: Hot Toys the Dark Knight

hope you will be happy with your pod, have you thought of using a floating shelf (but then theres dust on bats) or get a case made to size, with enough height for bats to stand next too. seen links to the company in this section somewhere, search 'display'

as for myself, im gonna get batman DX then thats it. pod just too much and forget about the tumbler. pipe dream for me. i see popcorn hour or some money towards a tv for that kind of money.

hope you enjoy the batpod, it does look sexy.
