F1 - New qualifying.......great!

So fellas what did you think?

Personally I thought the new format was very very good with drama and the excitement that is needed.

Good lad Button, showed a clean pair of heels to Barrichello.

Roll on tomorrow.

Matt

Also the first time I've watched with the laptop on my knee, and watching the live timings on the F1 website - felt like Flavio; I may wear a pair of sunglasses tomorrow.

I thought the first two 'zones' were very good but I'm not sure of the final 10 car stage. Driving around to reduce fuel is not what F1 is meant to be about but maybe it will take a few races to get used to it.

Much better than the one lap qualifying, thats for sure.

Also, I'm betting (& hoping) that Ferrari are running lighter on fuel than the others but we'll see tomorrow.

I was thinking that too about Ferrari and also the opposite about Renault - impressed with Massa too.

How unlucky is Kimi? Once again Mclaren show the reliability issue.

For those of us that haven't paid any interest in F1 since 'our Damon'...what is the new qualifying format?

I like it.
The third session will be appreciated in particular by those having travelled to the circuit to watch qualifying - more action on the track.

I thought it was Bloody Good!!
Not the waste of time last years qualifying was at times.
Tyre changing being brought back is a really good thing.
Go Jenson.

I thought It was excellant and I think some of these qualifying sessions are going to be more exciting then the actual races!
Shame to see Ferrari back on form and Kimi with his usual mechanical problems! Come on Maclaren sort it out I dont want to lose loads of fantasy league points because you cant give Kimi a reliable car!
