Motorola

br50 my son just brought one which he was told will take his sim card from his old phone but when he put's it in it come's up with substidy password?

The BR50 is a replacement battery for a Motorola V3. So has he got a V3?

Assuming yes, then it means the phone is locked to a different network to the one on which his SIM is registered. He will need to get the phone unlocked.
