Motorola e1070 and text editors

Hi, how are you, nice forum, please help me and don't hurt me

I have a Motorola e1070, and it runs Java, and it has a 512mb card, and this stuns me.

I'm used to PCs, and their adaptability, and I'm wondering if it's possible for me to use the phone to store text files to be read?.

It says it has a browser to use the internet. I can use a web browser to read text files on a pc, but is there any software that will let me store any kind of text files on the memory card that i can then read on the phone?.

Also, I'll be asking for reasons why the phone won't connect to the pc via the mini-usb cable, but that's for later.
