Help Razr V3

I have a Razr V3 (Black) the original battery had gone flat and would not recharge, so I bought a replacement battery which worked fine and would charge, however due to lack of use this has gone flat and now will not recharge. I have tried the charger on another V3 and this charges ok also tried another battery in my phone and this also recharges ok so not a fault with the phone or charger.
Spoke to Motorola and they say that the batteries go into sleep mode when they go completely flat but cannot offer any other help other then that I should replace the battery again, trouble is I dont want to do this if this fault is going to happen every time battery goes flat (phone is a spare so does not get used on a regular basis)
Does anyone know of a way to force a recharge or wake battery or am I banging my head against a brick wall.
Any sensible advice welcome

Re: Help Razr V3

I have had similar problems with a few phones. Have you tried taking the battery out for 10 mins and then putting it back and then charging it? My Razr stops charging after a fortnight or so and I have to do this, also works on my mates Samsung.

HTH.

Re: Help Razr V3

how loong have you left it charging? sometimes a very flat battery can take a couple of hours to kick in, so try leaving it on charge overnight
