Motorola RAZR V6 MAXX (Orange)

Just got mine as an upgrade and am very happy with it so far. Much better OS than my old RAZR v3 on Orange and a much sharper screen too.

Haven't seen or read much about this phone in the media though...

Tell me about it!!!

It doesn't even seem to be on the Motorola website and there's not that much in the way of downloadable content yet, eg ringtones, games, etc.

Oh well...nice to be one of the first for something

Re: Motorola RAZR V6 MAXX (Orange)

Is it a big improvement on the V3X ? I'd be interested in your opinions. Will it take the high capacity battery - the BC70, like the V3X did ?
Cheers.

Re: Motorola RAZR V6 MAXX (Orange)

I got mine about two weeks ago on Orange upgrades.

I wasn't really a V3 fan, I had a V3X last year, but sold it on for various reasons.

The V6 is a great phone, it's feature packed, has great styling, good build quality and I find the menu system pretty intuative.

Most people think it's a V3i or similar, but I have had a few Motorola fans go nuts when they've seen it as they seem to be pretty rare groove at the min.

If you have a V3/i/x at the minute you'll love this version I think.

My SPV3100, C600 and K800i are currently gathering dust.

Edit - battery life is just over 36 hours on average use with 3g enabled, but I do live in a poor 3g signal area so the battery drain would be higher than usual.

Re: Motorola RAZR V6 MAXX (Orange)

I didn't have the v3x, just the v3i.

I agree with g00n3r that the menu system is pretty intuitive, although there are a couple of quirks that take a while to get used to.

I've had some peolpe who are not Motorola fans seem very impressed with it, and the features are very good. First and foremost I think the calrity of the calls I make with it is way better than on my v3i, even though I'm on the same network and haven't moved house.

Haven't tested the battery life but couldn't see why it wouldn't last as much as g00n3r indicates.

Re: Motorola RAZR V6 MAXX (Orange)

I see the MAXX is on the web site now:
http://www.motorola.com/consumer/v/i...ow=productHome

The old V3X could take a higher capacity battery - the BC70 1030mAh one. The spec for the MAXX just quotes a 940mAh battery - I wonder if it will take the BC70 as well.. Anyone know ?

Just looked at the accessories - it quotes an even smaller 680mAh one .. Uh ? !!
