I managed to get my brothers to get their bikes out for some photographs.Sorry that they're not mine but thought you would like to see them.

So here is the entire collection(minus an Aprilia Mille which was covered in LC parts)

My Bros

Bsa A10

Ducati 955 Corse(was a 916 SP3)

KTM EXC 525

Kawasaki H1F 500

RD350LC

He says the LC is still missing a few bits and bobs but is very nearly finished.

Love the Kawasaki, and obviously the LC. He can still get swithgear for the LC new from Yam, but if he just wants the decals for them to contact Simon5 on the LC forum here..... www.rd-yamaha.com

Now all I need to do is find a nice Norton commando roadster ripe for resto.

Ha, glad I'm the first Busa owner (on this thread)! Absolutely love the bike, it's my second one (having had the first one stolen)

Previous bikes:

If I may ask a question as a non-bike owner here, and I've never owned one either. This isn't supposed to be a wind up or mickey take, I don't know the answer to the question so it is asked in all innocence !
Is there any reason why bike owners sit there revving up the engine all the time when at traffic lights etc ? Do you have to keep revving to keep the engine going or it is just a case of liking the noise it makes ?

Generally it's for the same reason that chavvy car owners do the same thing..just cos' they like the sound of it.

other than that bikes often filter through the traffic to the front of the lights and a minority of car drivers take offence at this and try to make a quick getaway from the lights to block the bike, keeping the revs up means you can slip the clutch a bit and make an even quicker getaway.

Also could just be because it won't tickover!

..so go get it dynajetted before you burn valves out! How 'sooty' is your end can? Also have you tried fitting GSXR carbs on it - very good MPG and performance.

Vance & Hines carbon oval straight thru's on my TL and it sounds like a squadron of Lancasters at the lights

Ticks over all right but like to rev it a bit at the lights just to scare passers by

Finally getting back on the road

Bought myself this today, just waiting for registration,MOT and insurance to be sorted out! Should be ready for pick up next Wednesday!!

Just in time for the 'rainy' season end - previous owner must have been a "above 36c only biker" as it has only just done 5000 miles (confirmed) in 12yrs - gonna have to 'break it in' gently as I tend to clock up an easy 1000 miles a month!

Also like that it is completely 'bog' standard.

Pretty new to the forums, bored at work looking through the sections I usually leave out.

I've just replaced a TL1000SV riding position did my wrists in, but sounded good on scorpian race cans - for a Honda CB1000 'Big one' Big retro styled thing. Also still got my 1st proper bike after passing my test, a once ubiquitous RD350LC

Mate,

Long story short i got knocked off my perfect condition SP-1 and broke an arm.

Testiment to Honda, the bike came away with scratches on the fairing

Don't ask how my right testicle is doing ..... how bigs a watermellon?

If you see an A6/A8 in west london with some serious burn/scratch marks on its left side, its my pipe

Gutted for you mate did the Audi not stop then?

Best bet is to grab yourself a copy of MCN and ring round a few breakers for a set of farings as Honda will want your other arm and a leg for a brand new set

Makes me 'greet' every time I open my wallet!

and like Monty.... to cut a long story short,

The 's sold the bike from under my feet - only instant deportation on my arrest stopped some serious damage being done!!

however,

managed to find an even better one for 1810 'big sobs' (GBP).

1998, 1 owner, 1780Km (1,112.5 miles) with a Moriwaki 4 n 1 pipe (be joining you at the traffic lights) and the original pipe in a box.
After a haggle a new battery and cover was also included along with road side assistance. Bike sounded 'sweet' and this time the deal is done!

Will post pics next weekend "for sure" (Who's gonna be on the podium at Laguna Seca then?).

Nice selection there, did you not fancy the SV thou after the 650?

My complete list:

Various 50's (AR/MBX/AP) etc..
NS 125r (with 190cc Malossi kit)
XL125
AR50 with KX125 motor (home built special)
RGV250
KR1 (Stage 3 Stan Stephens tune)
FZR600
ZX9-R
KR1-S with Bob Farnham tune (Ex-Proddie race bike on the road just for a laugh but was just too mental)
TL1000S

Not sure what next, still enjoying the TL but starting to think about changing it.

Tempted by a ZX-12r, VTR1000SP, New shape Z1000 or quite fancy an old Duke 851/888
