I dont actually do that much milage, so mpg doesn`t really affect me so badly. Mind you if i did cover more, i would struggle with 15 - 20 mpg

Poor MPG all round.

But I realise that a car usually means much more than cr@p like that.
Mine isn't too bad, about 20-25mpg I think. But I moved closer to work as I was sick of the commute. So I now do about 5000 miles a year, compared to previous cars which did about 28,000 miles per year.

So, in that respect - I'm doing less environment damage, using less petrol than most nine-to-five'rs - and have a bit more money in the pocket to enjoy a nice car. Happy days!

This is something that a lot of people don't consider when they call all sports and 4x4 cars 'gas guzzlers'. They might use more petrol, but Its likely that they won't be covering the same distances as Mondeo man.

Sorry to skew the topic...! Back to the photos - anyone got some more to add???

4x4 cars 'gas guzzlers'.

Why do people always mention this, what about fast cars that use more petrol, most of them are worse than 4x4's, and what about buses with 2 people on board, planes with 30 people on board etc etc.

Absolute no brainer!!

2.0Tdi and than get it REVO'd when you get bored and take it to 200bhp and still get 45mpg+.

Couldn't agree more! And then also that London Mayor who doesn't know his inches from centimeters...The majority of 4X4's do not take up more road space than other cars...They might be higher, but not generally wider nor longer....

Best car I've ever owned...

Stupidly fast, packed full of fantastic technology, and really flatters you as a driver.

I think I said to you on bm3w.co.uk waht a stunning car that is, really don't like reads normally but that would be my choice of colour on the M6 too, stunning!

Only thing that puts me off is 10mpg, I only get 25mpg from my 535d so know I would be hovering around 8-14mpg in that! Also when I am in my selling season I can do 1400 miles a week, that would mean filling up every morning!

I get 12-14, but then I do make full use of the rev-range. If driving conservatively I reckon you could get it up to 18, but that would defeat the object.

Can't be bm3w, I fell out with Matt over something really trivial so he banned me!

Here's a piccy of the current GJD fleet..

Merc E320CDI Avantgarde Estate
Mini Cooper S Works (210bhp Facelift Model)

Generally I'm pleased with them both. If I was buying now I'd have had a BMW 535d Touring and a MKVI Golf GTI but neither were available at the time.

Current thinking is I'll run the Merc as the family wagon for a good few years and swap the Mini for a 2nd hand 996 911 C4S in a year or so. The Mini's only done 7000 miles so far so I can't justify changing it yet!

Probably a 2nd hand new mini and a brand new R6 for the nice summer days.

Is the Audi a 3.2 quattro by any chance? Must be something fruity to have replaced the Cupra.
